Nina Doris Crawford Gardner, 89, former longtime resident of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, in Memphis, Tenn.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Brown Trail Church of Christ in Hurst, with grandson David Garner officiating. Interment: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frederick Atwood Crawford, and one grandson, T.J. Jones.
She was a faithful Christian who loved the Lord and her church family at Brown Trail Church of Christ.
Survivors: Her husband of 18 years, Thomas A. Gardner; son, Dan Crawford and wife, Beverly, of Memphis, Tenn; daughters, Carolyn and husband, Cloys Coomer, of Memphis, Tenn., Sandy and husband, Jim Garner, of Fayetteville, Ga., and Debbie Jones of Austin; twin brother, Dan Thomas and wife, Lisa, of Bountiful, Utah; grandchildren, David, Suzanne and Joey Crawford, Tim and Mark Cockrell and Jennifer Coomer Redd, Laura Garner Smith, Shanna Garner Parker, Jimmy and David Garner, and Lori Jones Vela and Wesley Jones; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
