Opal Scott

Opal Frances Scott, age 89, passed away on August 19, 2020 at Arlington Memorial Hospital in Arlington, Texas.  She was born on May 29, 1931 in Love County, Oklahoma to Eugene and Jimmie (Wade) Nipp.

Opal married James Leroy Scott in Bonham, Texas. They were happily married for 59 years.  She enjoyed gardening, gambling, cooking, sewing and visiting with family and friends.

Opal was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Opal is survived by her son and daughters, James Dennis Scott, Shirley Curry, Shela Kirby (Don) and Vickey Farrar (Johnny), all of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Jeremy Farrar (Sarah), Tobi Farrar, Kelley Kirby, Brittney Porter (Chris), Traci Dorsett and Tony Duncan; great grandchildren, Cutter McDonald, Noah Cooper, Jack Farrar, Cadence Porter and Tyler Dorsett.

Burial will be at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale, Texas.
