WEATHERFORD -- Otto Diedrich Trietsch, 85, a retired postal clerk, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made, in Otto's memory, to the Angel Gift Fund of Poly UMC, 1310 S. Collard, Fort Worth, Texas 76105.
Otto was born June 3, 1923, to Fred J. and Clara Trietsch and was raised on the family farm located near Sanger; he was one of 13 children. He married the love of his life, Angeline, on his birthday, 61-plus years ago.
Otto was a longtime resident of Fort Worth and a member of Polytechnic United Methodist Church, where he served on the official board and the mission committee.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Otto dedicated his life to his family and the community.
He was an avid gardener, photography buff, a member and officer of IOF Foresters, and enjoyed walking with friends at Town Center Mall.
Survivors: Wife, Angeline; daughters, Nova Johnson and husband, Greg, Karyn Dobkins and husband, Keith, and their son, Alexander; brother, Hilmer and wife, Leta; sisters, Meta Priest and Emma McGee; sister-in-law, Gladys Trietsch; and an extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
