Reba Lee Ward, 81, went home to be with her Lord, Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, quietly in the early morning hours.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27th in Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26th at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel.
She was born Oct. 27, 1928, in Athens, Ala. She married the love of her life, Herbert, and they were together for 59 years. He passed away Nov. 12, 2009, and has been getting things ready for her arrival in heaven. She never took no for an answer and pushed ahead when others paused. But a kinder, gentler woman you will never meet again.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Sadie C. Key; and grandson, Dylan L. Chasteen.
Survivors: Sons, Herbert R. Ward, Richard L. and Connie Ward and Randy Ward; daughters, Julie M. and Eddie Chasteen and Martha and Tommy Ishmael; son-in-law, Douglas Key; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
