GRAND PRAIRIE -- Richard Michael Bigler, 56, passed away Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at his home in Grand Prairie.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel of Kennedale. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Richard was born to the late Michael Edward and Lura "Mickey" Bigler on Jan. 26, 1951, in Fort Worth and grew up in Kennedale. Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He worked as a truck driver with Lane Supply for the past 14 years. Richard was a member of Moose Lodge 1818.
He was a family man who enjoyed cooking out for his family and friends. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing pool. Richard was a jokester. He was a very caring man who was always there to volunteer his help when someone needed it. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors: Wife, Wanda Bigler; children, Les, Kenny and Chris; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Mark Bigler and wife, Sherri; sisters, Melinda Richards and husband, Dale, Debbie Greenway and husband, Jerry; numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Sylvia Bounds; and a host of other relatives and friends.
