Richard Gurley Jr.

Richard E. Gurley, Jr., 63, passed away on September 17, 2020 at home in Divide, Colorado. He was born on March 18, 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas to Richard and Jean Marie (Normandeau) Gurley.

Richard grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. He graduated from O.D. Wyatt High School in Fort Worth, Texas in 1975. After high school he:

• joined the US Navy in 1975 and was honorably discharged in 1978.
• began work for the City of Fort Worth Water Department as a Water treatment technician where he worked for several years until his retirement.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Gurley, Sr.; mother, Jean Marie (Normandeau) Gurley; brothers, Robert Lee Gurley and James (Jimmy) Gregory Gurley.

Richard is survived by his son, Joshua L. Gurley; daughter, Monica S. Gurley; sisters, Cheryl (Herman) Rodriguez and Kimberly (Ted) Inlow; brother, Roger (Cynthia) Gurley; grandchildren, Madison, Austin, Gavin, Angel, Jovi, Joslyn, Jolie, Richard and Elsie; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Richard's life will be held 11am Friday, September 25, 2020 at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, Texas 76060. With burial to follow in the cemetery.
