ARLINGTON -- Richard Charles Hagwood, 56, went home to be with his Lord Friday, March 7, 2008.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Emerald Hills Funeral Home.

Richard was a loving father and a servant of the Lord. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Berry Hagwood of Engelhard, N.C.; and his mother, Kay Montgomery Hagwood of Garner, N.C.
Survivors: His daughters, Kelly Hagwood Bassett and husband, Casey of Arlington and Stacey Hagwood Hauff and husband, Casey of Atoka, Okla.; father, Charles H. Hagwood of Garner, N.C.; brothers, Mike Hagwood and wife, Margaret of DeWitt, Va., David Hagwood and wife, Jeanette, Jeffrey Hagwood and wife, Gabi of Hervey Bay, Queensland, Australia; nieces, Beth Stancil of Garner, N.C. and Sarah of Hervey Bay, Australia; best friend, Brenda Irby of Arlington; mother-in-law, Mattie Berry; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends throughout the United States.
