Mr. Ricky Theobalt
June 4, 1947 — July 29, 2012
Ricky H. Theobalt, 65, went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, July 29, 2012.
Ricky was born June 4, 1947 at his grandparents' home in Murfreesboro, Arkansas to Grady and Iva Mae Theobalt. He married the love of his life, Elaine Wilhite, on May 15, 1971. He received his BS in Geology from UTA, and spent his career impacting the lives of numerous students as a teacher at Arlington High School. Ricky was a beloved husband, father, Poppa, son, brother, teacher and friend.
He loved his home state of Arkansas and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He loved to fish, play golf, play poker, and watch old westerns. The time he treasured most was the time spent with his family and attending his grandchildren's various activities. He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren. He loved his large extended family beyond measure, as well as his church and his close friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine in 2009, his father and mother.
Survivors: Sister, Valerie Seale and her husband J.B.; Daughters, Rhonda Brittain and husband Mike, Shannon Dietrich and husband David, Melissa Hardaway and husband Kevin. Niece; Misti Mosteller and husband Jeff. Grandchildren; Kyle, Alex, Kathryn, Carson, Audrey, Connor, Mary, Emily, Kelsie, and Kenzie. Numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and close friends. Memorials – In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association in his name.
