EVERMAN -- Robert Lee Bridendolph, 58, slipped the surly bonds of earth and touched the face of God on Tuesday, June 2, 2009.
Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Robert served his country during the Vietnam War as a helicopter pilot. He loved the outdoors along with all sports. His family was his inspiration. He loved and cared for his late brother Richard; he never recovered his loss. He felt it was not the length of life you lived, but the depth of life. He jumped into life and never touched bottom.
Survivors: Children, Robert John Bridendolph and Nicole I. Bortle; three grandchildren; parents, Lloyd and Lillian Bridendolph; brothers, Mart and Marie Bridendolph and James Bridendolph; sister, Tina and Glenn Bradley; nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
