Roger Petersen

Roger Lee Petersen, 75, passed away on Friday, April 2nd 2021 at Mansfield Methodist Hospital in Mansfield, TX.

Roger was born in Beatrice, Nebraska on June 26, 1945 and was the only son of Esther Braddock and Nick Petersen.

Roger was boisterous, jubilant, generous, loving and never knew a stranger.

“Pete” was a proud United States Navy veteran with 22 years of service in the Navy Reserves and retired in 2005.

Roger “Pete” Petersen is preceded in death by his mother, father, sister Maxine, and close friends Ray Sailor and Larry Parker.

Roger is survived by his wife of 36 years Sharon, daughter Colleen Blakeley Morrow and husband Bradley, son Sean Blakeley and wife Cris; sisters, Barbara, Delores, and Judy; grandchildren, Lauren and Logan; as well as many other beloved friends and family.

A funeral service for Roger will be held Friday, May 7th, 2021 at nine-thirty a.m. at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery 200 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.

We will miss him dearly and any and all well wishes are appreciated.

We understand that not all can attend Pete’s service during these difficult times; if you do choose to attend we would love that.

It is required that all attendees wear a mask.
