Ronda Lynn Springer Lawson, 73, passed away on May 25, 2022 at Avalon Memory Care in Arlington, Texas. She was born on April 6, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Richard and Edna Paschal Springer. Ronda grew up in Arlington, Texas. She graduated from Sam Houston High School in Arlington, Texas in 1967. After high school, she attended North Texas State University in Denton and East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas where she received a bachelor’s degree in Art. Ronda worked as a junior and high school art teacher in Mabank and Joshua school districts. She retired after 29 years. Ronda married Tim Vaughn Lawson in 1995 in Maybank, Texas. They were happily married for 27 years. Ronda and Tim were founding members of the Community of Hope church on Debbie Lane in Mansfield. Ronda was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Edna Springer, her brother, Ralph Edward Springer, and her nephew Rick Springer.
Ronda is survived by her husband, Tim Lawson; her sons, Brian Norris, Neil Norris and Greg Haws; her stepchildren Shane and Kim Lawson, her brothers, Roger Springer and Glenn Springer; her nieces, Ashlea Marks and Kaleigh Hagler; and seven grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd., Kennedale, Texas 76060 at 10:00 am on Friday, June 3, 2022. A visitation will be prior to service 9:00 am.
