Samuel Tanguma, 66, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at his home in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was born on June 19, 1954 in Eldorado, Texas to Pedro Tanguma and Carmen (Valadez) Tanguma.
Samuel grew up in Eldorado, Texas. He began working in the fields with his family at the early age of 10. From there he began to work in construction and operating heavy equipment. In 1984 he began driving cross country and hauling the U.S mail where he drove for 35 years.
Samuel and Melida were together for 44 years. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, fishing, driving the open road, spending time with grand kids, music and drinking a beer with friends and family.
Samuel was preceded in death by Pedro and Carmen Tanguma, Rafel Tanguma, Eduardo Tanguma, Pedro Navarro, and Manuel Tanguma.
Samuel is survived by his spouse Melida of Chicago, Illinois; daughter, Cynthia Saucedo (Anthony Saucedo), of Grand Prairie, Texas and sons Edward Tanguma (Loni) and David Tanguma (Bianca) of Grand Prairie, Texas; brothers/sisters, Celestino (Lisa) Tanguma, Pedro Tanguma, Ramiro Tanguma, Robert Tanguma Jainie (Jose) Escamilla, Manuela Tanguma, Amparo Tanguma Maria Lupe (Miguel) Terrazes, Rosa Luna of Grand Prairie, Arlington and Mansfield; grandchildren, Celeste Torres Tanguma, Eric and Marissa Saucedo, Breana and Xavier Rosales, Nathaniel Tanguma, Samuel Christian Tanguma; great-grandchildren, Sabastian Rosales; and niece\nephews, Jose and Manuel Escamilla, Jesse Esparza, Roman Pina, Hector Hernandez, Estella Ruiz, Marylu Pena, Miguel and Melissa Terrazes Elizabeth de la Rosa, David and Teresa Tanguma, Pedro Tanguma, JR, Angela, Mora, Nancy, Dougherty, Rosalia McFarland.
A funeral service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas 76060 on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at 5:00PM. The family will receive friends for visitation at Emerald Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Kennedale on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 12:00-5:00PM
