Sandra Erle

On May 27, 2016, Sandra Sue (Skaggs) Erle, 62, of Arlington, TX passed from this life into eternity to be with her lord and savior, Jesus Christ, while in her daughter, Angelica Meas' in-law's home in Dallas, TX. Known by friends and family as Sandy, she was born in Sherman, TX on January 15, 1954 to Edith Sue (Cogburn) & Henry J. Skaggs Jr.
In 1972, she graduated from Ross Sterling High School in Houston, TX, and then she went on to earn several degrees. She first earned diploma for Vocational Nursing in 1978 and became a pharmacy tech by completing a course in 1992. She furthered her nursing career with a RN degree from Tarrant County Junior College in 1998, and then a RN-BSN from University of Texas in 1999. She worked as a registered nurse. Her favorite department was working in the nursery. Sandy enjoyed sewing, crafting, daytime soap operas, and good music. Despite having MS and then later kidney cancer, Sandy tried keeping a positive attitude and encouraged others through posting inspirational quotes on Facebook and posting pictures of babies and puppies.
Sandy is survived by her parents, Edith & Henry Skaggs; her brother, Anthony Gene Skaggs, and her sister and husband, Carol Lynn (Skaggs) & John Allen Jenkins; her aunts, Laquita M. (Cogburn) Sexton and Marketa Lanell (Cogburn) Putman; her uncle, Donald Boyd Skaggs; her ex-husband, William Patrick Erle; her daughters and their husbands: Tara Gayle (Erle) & Jason K. Chambers, Amy Nicole (Erle) & Joe Herbert Pellett, Angelica Hope (Erle) & Savann Meas, and Caitlin Jewell Erle; her grandchildren: Jacob Daniel Chambers, Nathanael Alexander Chambers, Jamie Layne White, Robert Gregory Pellett, and Katherine Myura Meas, plus a grandson and a granddaughter in the wombs of two of her daughters, Amy and Caitlin respectively. In addition, she has at least 10 surviving cousins, 7 nieces, 1 nephew, 5 great nieces, and 3 great nephews!
Sandy was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Dwayne Skaggs; her grandson, Joseph Nicholas Pellett; both sets of her grandparents, Beatryce (Hart) & Henry Skaggs Sr., and Elsie Dean (Frazier) & Thomas Carrol Cogburn; her uncles, Wendell Sexton, Cletis Lee Skaggs, Bill Putman, Harold Cogburn, Howard Cogburn, Rupert Cogburn, and T.C. Cogburn; her aunt, Ima Jewel (Hammer) Cogburn; and her cousins: Debra Jean (Cogburn) Ogle and Keith Putman.
