Mrs. Hien Van Phan, maiden name So Thi Le, was born in Vietnam on January 1, 1924. She and her family came to the U.S. in 1975 searching for freedom. She went to be with the Lord on May 3, 2020 at the age of 96. She was a very devout Catholic and was a daily churchgoer when still in good health. She was also generous in financial support for orphanages and leprosariums in Vietnam. She enjoyed watching Vietnamese opera on TV with her large circle of friends. She is survived by 11 children, 46 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 1902 S. Belt Line Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75051. Burial will follow immediately at Emerald Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Kennedale, TX 76060.
