It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia Patricia Covarrubias, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend. Sylvia was born on January 26, 1972, and sadly left this world on December 5, 2023, after a short but hard battle with cancer. Her loss will be felt by all who knew her.

Sylvia will be remembered for her kind and welcoming nature. She always had a smile on her face and touched the lives of those around her with her warmth and positivity. Her infectious laughter brightened up any room she entered.

A loving family was at the center of Sylvia's life. She adored her husband, Jorge Covarrubias, and together they shared a bond built on love and companionship. Their son, Jorge Covarrubias JR, brought immense joy to her life and she cherished every moment spent with him.

In addition to being a dedicated wife and mother, Sylvia found great pleasure in cooking for her family. She was known for her culinary skills and took pride in preparing delicious meals that brought everyone together. Her talents in the kitchen will never be forgotten.

Sylvia also had a close relationship with her sister Carmen Yanes. Their bond was unbreakable, and they supported each other through life's ups and downs. Sylvia cherished their time together and considered Carmen not only as a sister but also as a dear friend.

To honor Sylvia's memory and pay tribute to the beautiful life she lived, services will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Kennedale, TX. Visitation will take place on December 11, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on December 12, 2023, starting at 11:00 AM. The interment will follow at 12:00 PM.

We invite all those who knew Sylvia to join us in celebrating her life and saying goodbye. While we mourn her loss, let us also remember the joy she brought to each and every one of our lives. Sylvia's legacy will forever live on in our hearts, and her memory will be cherished by all.
