Mr Thomas White

Thomas Gene White, 61, of Alvarado, TX passed away on July 28, 2012 in Fort Worth. Thomas met his wife Laverne when they were teenagers. Four years later, right out of high school the two married and began a love that lasted 41 years. Thomas and Laverne grew together as a family and he became a loving husband, and father, and later a proud grandfather and Papa. The marriage brought joy and three wonderful children to their lives. He loved old western movies and was an avid outdoorsman, he liked to fish and enjoyed the company of a special companion, a blue heeler named Charmin. Thomas rebuilt a '69 pick up from the tires up, and working on old cars was a hobby in his spare time. He tirelessly worked driving trucks most recently for Trinity Industries for 20 years, hauling heavy equipment for the wind towers. He will be missed greatly by everyone he holds dear.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents and brother Walter Scroggins.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Laverne; sons, Kenneth White and wife Tina, Bryan Cortez and wife Pam; daughter, Mechelle Davis and husband Corey; grandchildren, Stephen & Holli, Shelbi, Brandon, Samantha, McKenzee, Haylee, Kason, Seth & Victoria, his dog Charmin, nieces, nephews, numerous extended family and a host of friends.
