Faye Beckham went to her heavenly home with Jesus on February 4, 2017 in Fort Worth, TX. She was born November 21, 1918 and was the oldest of 5 children. They lived in Sherman, TX, then Frederick, OK where Faye worked in the county courthouse. Later she moved back to TX and worked at Bill McKay Chevrolet in downtown Fort Worth as a bookkeeper. It was there that she was introduced to the love of her life, J. G. “Jake” Beckham. They were married almost 25 years before his passing in 1989.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jake, parents Tom and Eva Lance, sister Rhea Wood, brothers Tom, Kenneth and Bob Lance; and step-son Dave Beckham.
Survivors include: Step-son Randy Beckham, step-daughter Sue Maden; grandchildren Rebekah Cullum &Shannon Smith, Craig Beckham, Susannah & Chris Beckham; great grandson John David Beckham; numerous nieces and nephews from the Lance & Beckham families, and many dear friends and loved ones across the nation.
Celebration of Life this Wednesday, Feb. 8 at Ridglea Baptist Church, 6037 Calmont Avenue, Fort Worth, where Faye was a faithful member for over 50 years. Reception in the Fellowship Hall at 12 noon, Service at 1:00 in the Sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, her memory may be honored with a donation to Ridglea Baptist Church Building Fund.
