FORT WORTH -- Thomas Lee Caldwell of Fort Worth, a minister, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 15, 2011.
Celebration of life: 3 p.m. Thursday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Sublett Road, Kennedale. A subsequent military honors recognition will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 2, in D/FW National Cemetery.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
The Rev. Caldwell was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He had preached the word of God for 56 years. The Rev. Caldwell began his ministry at Revival Temple, later starting Trinity Temple, currently known as Life Fellowship.
Tommy, as all his friends knew him, served this country proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked many years for Remington, Fort Worth ISD and retired from SOS.
The Rev. Caldwell was the baby of 10. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Douglas Caldwell and Alva Blanche Burton Caldwell; daughter, Kathy Estep; and seven brothers and sisters.
Survivors: His wife, Pat Caldwell; sons, Mark, Tommy and Buddy Caldwell, all of Texas; brother, Julius Caldwell of Phoenix, Ariz.; and baby sister, Helen Ott of Fort Worth. He leaves behind nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
