Virginia Grace Upham , age 83, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away peacefully on 7/20/2012 at Medical Center of Arlington, TX.
She was born on March 24, 1929 in Grafton, North Dakota to Helmer and Selma (Helgenset) Torkelson. Virginia was the oldest of 6. She is survived by brothers, Dennis Torkelson and David Torkelson , 18 nieces and nephews and many friends. She was predeceased in death by husband, James, her parents, brothers, Noel Torkelson and Howard Torkelson and sister, Sally Ann Robinson.
Virginia married James R. Upham in Grafton, North Dakota on July 15, 1949. They spent 62 wonderful years together until Jim's passing in 2011. Together they saw many places, had many experiences, and formed a host of friendships. They will be greatly missed.
Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Grafton, ND at a later date.
Memorials can be designated to Christ Lutheran Church, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
