ARLINGTON -- Virginia Evelyn Meakin went home to her maker October 23,2007 surounded by her loving family.Funeral: 2pm Friday October 26,2007 at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 6-8pm Thursday at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial at Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Evelyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-Grandmother. She was at her best when she saw new life through the eyes of any child. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Josephine Murphy and her son Charles Fred Meakin.
Survived by her loving husband of 55 years Arthur Meakin Jr. son Arthur Meakin III daughters; Cheryl Meakin,Kim Kuhn and Sara and husband Jay Purser, grandchildren; Alina, William, Amber and Katelyn Meakin, Jessica Valencia, Michael and Mary Purser, great-grandchildren; Jordan and Justin Murray, honorary- grandchildren; Collin, Conner, Kiera and Kelyn Spear, Brothers and sisters; Clinton Murphy, Truby Davis, Earl Murphy, Eva Phelps and Curtis Murphy, along with a host of other family and friends.
