ARLINGTON --Virginia Louise “Ginny Lou” Shytles, 84, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, November 29, 2014.
Graveside Service: Thursday, December 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Heart to Heart Hospice of Fort Worth or Alzheimer's Association.
Ginny was born in Coffeyville, Kansas on July 14, 1930, the daughter of Fred Mason and Leona Hobbs. She married Chuck Shytles on October 13, 1960. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1949, and attended Arlington State College. Although she did not have any children, she loved her nieces, nephew, and all of her many animal “kids”. She was incredibly patient and kind and welcomed everyone into her home with open arms. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Meadowbrook Memory Care for their love and attention to Miss Ginny during her time there.
Ginny was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
Survivors: sister, Jolene Cash and husband, Walter; nieces, Elaine Jary, and husband Zdenek, Nancy Cash, and Yvonne Peet and husband, Albert; nephew, Stephen Cash, and wife, Jessica; as well as grandniece, Lindsey Peet and grandnephews, Derek Peet and D.J. Perkins and wife, Shannon; and great grandnephew, Cash Perkins.
