Juanita Watkins was called home to the arms of her Lord on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at the age of 80. She will be remembered as a prayer warrior and spiritual mother who touched many lives through her unwavering devotion to God.
Juanita and Sterling Watkins were approaching their 50th wedding anniversary before his passing in 1998. She was a member of Calvary Church in Fort Worth for over 30 years.
Those who have gone before her include: parents, Oscar and Della; sisters, Loreen Bedwell, Ophelia Calvert and Oma Koonce; brothers, Alton Boothe and Lewis Boothe; and her loving husband, Sterling Watkins.
Survivors: Those left to cherish her memory are son, Gary Watkins; daughter, Kay Womack (Bobby); sisters, Jeanette Swaim (Floyd), Ruth Watkins Maaske; grandchildren, Krystal Whitlock, Timothy Womack (Lisa), Craig Womack (Sonja); great-granchildren, Zachary Womack and Travis Andrews; many nieces, nephews and extended family; and many dear friends.
