Wayne Eugene Clark, 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 21, 2021 at his home, in Burleson, Texas. He was born on January 6, 1932 in Dewey, Oklahoma to Martin Van Buren Clark and Lula (Tennant) Clark.
Wayne grew up in Nowata, Oklahoma and he graduated from Nowata High School. After high school he attended college and spent four years serving in the Air Force. Along with being the Patriarch of the family Wayne was a loving spouse, father, and grandfather. He loved the Lord and was a faithful and devoted servant in the church. He was also an avid farmer, Masonic Lodge member, and worked 37 years in computer programming at Lockheed Martin.
Wayne married Elizabeth in 1952. They were happily married and had celebrated their 69th anniversary on June 14.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Martin Vanburen and Lula Belvia Clark; and one brother, Kenneth Clark.
Those left to cherish Wayne’s memories are his spouse, Elizabeth of Burleson, Texas; son, Terry (Linda) Clark of Iola, Texas; daughter, Brenda (Craig) Taylor of Burleson, Texas; grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Clark, LeAmy (Bill) Seabert, Charles (Lindsy), Clark, Robert (Heather) Taylor; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Linda Miller from Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Wayne will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10:00 am with interment following the service at Emerald Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for visitation at Emerald Hills Funeral Home on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 7:00-9:00PM.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Pastor Charles Bryant, William Seabert Sr., Alleve Hospice Care and Frank P Jircik MD along with multiple others that helped take care of our loving family member.
Wayne’s favorite scripture was, “Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38
