William Arthur Holmes

William Arthur "Bill" Holmes, a longtime resident of Fort Worth Texas, passed away at his home on September 24th, 2023, at the age of 84.

Bill was born in Detroit, Michigan, on April 13, 1939, to Archie and Lila Holmes. After his marriage to Ruth in 1965, Bill welcomed his two sons into the world. Bill moved his family to Fort Worth in 1981, where they reside today. After Ruth’s death in 1998, Bill found love with Lynn Blasutta, and they were married in 2000. Bill was a man of considerable talent, skill, and was never known to shy away from hard work. He found great joy in restoring homes and automobiles in a way that only Bill could. His vast knowledge of cars and deep love for motorsports brought Bill much joy and forged lifelong friendships. Bill will be remembered for his dry wit, loving nature, and fierce loyalty. 

Bill is survived by his wife, Lynn, his children Scott (Angela) and Matthew from his first wife, Ruth; grandson, Jacob; step-grandson, Cole; and his siblings, Phyllis and Robert. 

He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia; and step-son, Tye Blasutta.
