William Verner

William Preston Verner, of Mansfield, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019.  He was born on May 15, 1940 in Athens, Alabama to Billy Joe Verner and Gladys May (Hicks) Verner.  William graduated from Girard, Ohio High School in 1958 and served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1962.  He loved motorcycle riding, camping, traveling, and the lake.  William was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Glen Verner; and daughter Melissa Ann Turley.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Pamela Verner of Mansfield; children, Chris Verner and wife Heidi of San Diego, California, Stephanie Rigby and husband Jed of Mansfield, Michael James of Venus, Steven James of Mansfield, Diane (James) Turquette and husband Mike of Los Angeles, California; grandchildren, Hannah Turley of Springfield, Missouri, Nathaniel Barron of Springfield, Missouri, Lily Barron of Springfield, Missouri, Preston Freisner of Dallas, Landry Rigby of Mansfield, Audrey Turquette of Los Angeles, California.

Memorial service for William will be Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 10:30AM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale.  Inurnment will be Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at DFW National Cemetery at 1:00PM.
