BURLESON -- William "Bill" Wesley Burns, 89, of Burleson passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016.
Service: 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Emerald Hills Funeral Home. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Bill was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy as a radar operator on a submarine during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Burns; son, Billy Ray Burns; and three brothers.
Survivors: Daughter, Linda Kennedy and husband, Jerry Sr.; grandsons, Paul Kennedy, Jerry Kennedy Jr. and wife, Heidi, Brian Burns and wife, Nioka; and great-grandchildren, Chloe Barton, Madeleine Ybarra, Benjamin Ybarra, Austin Burns and Jason Burns.
